He was born on Feb. 16, 1926, to Natividad and Concepcion Ojeda Hernandez in Seguin.
Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by his parents, Natividad and Concepcion Hernandez; a sister, Maria Villanueva; and a son, Jude Anthony Hernandez. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, Guadalupe “Lupita” Hernandez of Beeville; two sons, Julian “Sonny” (Maryann) Hernandez of Smithville and Arnold (Dahlia) Hernandez of Houston; two daughters, Virginia (Ernest) Moreno and Dymphna “Dee Dee” (Roland) Trejo, both of Beeville; three sisters, Alicia Carrillo and Concepcion Davila, both of Seguin, and Esther Rios of Universal City; two brothers, Juan Hernandez of Dallas, and Raul Hernandez of San Antonio; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, at Galloway & Sons chapel. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
