The Bee County Junior Livestock & Homemakers Show’s 2013 Adult Division, for exhibitors ages 18 and over, will be held Jan. 28-31.

Divisions will include Craft, Food and Clothing, and categories are:

Craft Division

1. Needlework — cross-stitch, counted or regular; 2. Needlework — other; 3. Wreath/Swag — max. diameter/length 36”; 4. Quilting — item 24” x 24” or less; 5. Quilting — lap/crib/wall hanging size; 6. Quilting — full/queen/king size 7. Crochet or Knitted Craft Item; 8. Jewelry; 9. Pot Holder; 10. Pin Cushion; 11. Stuffed Toy; 12. Pillow; 13. Scrap booking (all photography 5”x7” matte only - no frame); 14. Nature/Scenic — B/W & Color (both in same class); 15. Animal/People — B/W & Color (both in same class); 16. Miscellaneous — B/W & Color (both in same class); 17. Leatherwork; 18. Woodwork; 19. Household Linens — aprons, pillowcases, curtains, etc.; 20. Homemade Designer Cards — envelopes not required; 21. Miscellaneous Crafts.

Food Division

22. Jams, Jellies and Preserves — 8, 12 or 16 oz.; 23. Pickles — Homemade — 1 pint or quart; 24. Quick Bread – 1 loaf, any size; 25. Yeast Bread — 1 loaf, any size or 6 rolls; 26. Cinnamon Rolls — 6; 27. Cornbread — 6 pieces; 28. Iced Multi-Layer Cake — any size; 29. Pound Cake — any size; 30. Cookies — bar, 6; 31. Cookies — drop, 6; 32. Cookies — other, 6; 33. Brownies — 6; 34. Candy — 12 pieces; 35. 1 or 2 Crust Pie — Sweet or Savory; 36. Salsa or Picante Sauce — 8, 12 or 16 oz.; 37. Designer Dessert — Dirt/Dump Cake, fluff, etc.; 38. Miscellaneous Foods; 39. Professional Cakes plain, bundt or iced; 40. Professional Cookies; 41. Professional Cinnamon Rolls; 42. Professional Yeast Breads/Quick Breads; 43. Professional Miscellaneous Foods.

Clothing Division

44. Quilted Garment; 45. Crocheted or Knitted Garment; 46. Skirt/Pants/Vest; 47. Miscellaneous Clothing.

General rules are as follows:

- Entry Fee $5 per item. No limit in the number of entries per class or exhibitor.

- No Premium Money, exhibitors compete for ribbons, rosettes and special awards only.

- 4 Best In Show Rosettes will be awarded in the Craft, Food and Professional Food [class # 39, 40, 41, 42 and 43] and Clothing divisions.

- Entries must be made by the exhibitor only, and that actual item may not have been entered and placed in the top 3 in its class in any previous BCJL&H Adult Division Show; however, a newly made item in the same class is acceptable.

- Neither refrigeration nor heating is available for food items.

- Exhibitors to provide a label naming the food; however, the recipe is not required.

- Clothing will be judged on construction only, no modeling.

- All entries will be assigned an exhibitor number by the division chairman; no exhibitor name will be shown until after judging.

- Score sheets will be handed out at checkout.

- Professional and semi-professional bakers, please enter your Breads, Cinnamon Rolls, Cakes and Cookies in classes 37-41.

- Check-in for Crafts and Clothing is Monday, Jan. 28, from 2-6 p.m.

- Check-in for Food is Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 7-9 a.m.

- Check-out for all items is Thursday, Jan. 31, from 2-6 p.m.

- All entry monies will be used to provide premium money to the Junior Livestock & Homemakers exhibitors.

Postmark entries by Jan. 21, 2013, so entries may be posted to the books and exhibitor labels made. No late entries at check-in. At check-in, substitutions allowed only within same divisions Craft, Food, Clothing and Professional.
