Owners and staff of the new Hwy 80 Fast Fuel gas station gather on Sept. 27 with Karnes City Chamber of Commerce officials for a ribbon cutting in celebration of the opening of the new business located on Hwy 80, just northeast of the Karnes City city limits. Holding the ribbon, from left, are Clayton Wyatt, Kristen Pape, Josh Tielke, Hadley Tielke, Corie Tielke and Bonnie Tielke. Owners Josh and Corie Tielke say the new gas station will offer easy access for all sizes of vehicles, trucks, trailers and farm equipment, the areas only high flow diesel with satellite pumps and 24 hour diesel and regular unleaded gasoline.

The Karnes City Area Chamber of Commerce is still very much participating in and enjoying the continual growth of our area. This past Thursday, Sept. 27, we held a Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting event for the newly built Hwy 80 Fast Fuel, Inc. located adjacent to the Karnes City Auction. The owners, Josh and Corie Tielke and Clayton and Kristen Wyatt have done a great service with this fuel stop. The four pumps are convenient stops for the great number of trucks that have to refuel as they travel all over the Eagle-Ford Shale locations in Karnes County. And, along with the Karnes City Auction, they earn our respect and thanks for taking great care of the various needs of our citizens, including our ranchers and farmers. Chamber board members present were Wish Taylor, President, along with Randy Witte, Lillian Lyssy and Victor Serna standing in for his wife and board member Olga. And, as the Office Manager of the chamber, it’s my privilege to be there also. So, remember to stop by and say hello and thanks to the owners of this new business.

‘Til next time, Cathy
