Hippology is a horse knowledge competition, containing an ID station test, a multiple choice written test, a slide show test, 2 horse judging classes, and a team problem, requiring a short oral presentation by each member. Individual and team awards are given.
Karnes County had seven individuals competing, comprising of two junior teams. Four participants won Junior High Point Awards: Kristi Bolf, 3rd; Laramie Glover, 4th; Kyler Palmer, 5th; and Korynna Renteria, 8th.
The Junior team of Kristi Bolf, Kyler Palmer, Laramie Glover, and Korynna Renteria also captured the 2nd place High Point Junior Team Award.
Also participating from Karnes County were Shad Spendlove, Austin Spendlove and Maci Laedeke.
