4-H COLUMN

4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. If I can be of any help in anyway, please call the Extension office 830-780-3906. KARNES COUNTY 4-H CLUB MEETINGS

The 4-H Club meetings for Karnes County are listed as follows: Falls City 4-H, 1st Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Falls City AG Shop. Karnes City 4-H Club, 3rd Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Karnes County Show Barn, Kenedy 4-H Club, 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:15 p.m. at the Kenedy Fire Station. Lonesome Dove 4-H, 2nd Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Small World Day Care, Panna Maria 4-H, 1st Monday at 7 p.m. at Panna Maria Snoga Store. Runge 4-H Club, 2nd Sunday of the month at 3 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

FASHION SHOW CONTEST

Fashion Show contest has two categories. Buying category allows youth to purchase an outfit and justify quality and price. Youth can construct a garment, etc. Both categories require paperwork. District Fashion Show is Apr. 28 at the Victoria Mall.

DISTRICT ROUNDUP

For the youth who loves to stand up and speak their mind and have a little fun. This contest contains all education presentations and public speaking events. District Round up will be at Blinn College in Brenham Apr. 14.

4-H COUNCIL

Karnes County 4-H Council decided to make care packages again for the troops. Please feel free to donate magazines, toiletries, etc. No perishable foods. You can bring these to the Extension Office and we will assemble them at the next Council Meeting, Mar. 26.
