Master of Ceremonies was Fidencio Aranga and Honorable County Judge Barbara Shaw shared the reason Wreaths Across America started and why it is important today. Sean O’Brien is appreciated for beautifully singing the National Anthem and Chaplain Tony Martinez for the Invocation. Others to mention for their involvement in the event are Michael Ermis and Erik Kilcrease from Troop 115 of Karnes City for Posting the Colors and for helping prepare the area with chairs for the event; Mary Lozano; Armando Musquez and the Beeville Honor Guard who presented a 21 Gun Salute and Taps to honor the fallen loved ones; Nita Murillo and Sarah Gamboa, who attended the program and have been a huge help to the Karnes County Veterans. They work for the Camino Real Veteran Outreach program and join each month for Peer to Peer Council at Barths Restaurant. Many veterans have been helped by their programs. Others who attended and helped with the day include John Wesley Martinez, Jason Flores, Luis Sotelo, Alex Caballero and Brenda Hansler.
Without the veterans, Americans would not live in a free country today. Please remember to thank a veteran every chance you can.
