The Kenedy Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome and introduce the Maloney Law Firm to Kenedy on Friday, Oct. 5 at their Open House and Ribbon Cutting. A great group of Kenedy leadership came to join in the celebration as we continue to welcome more new business into our community. If you didn't make it, please take a moment to go by and visit with these new companies and get acquainted. They are vital to Kenedy's growth and success!

On Saturday, Oct. 6, the Kenedy Bluebonnet Festival Queens Court and float went to Gonzales to the "Come and Take It" Parade and festivities. Queen Brandy Ornelas, 1st Runner up Trini Almanza and 2nd Runner up Candice Ornelas represented Kenedy well in the 123 entry parade. It was an awesome parade experience for myself and President Arnold, as we saw a new kind of parade presentation. Special thanks to the Wood Group Duval staff who worked all day on Friday to repair and revitalize the float. It looked fantastic and the court appreciated the opportunity to gracefully take their places on the float with the new step ladder.

The Kenedy Rotary Float with Miss Karnes County Jennifer Kotara also attend the Gonzales parade and won 2nd Place as Visiting Float Specialty! Congratulations Jennifer!

So many things going on! Please come out and join us at the Karnes County Country Club for the Six Shooter Junction Golf Tournament and Toys for Tots Cook-off on Oct. 20.
