Last week, we welcomed Oppenheimer to Kenedy with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Jeff Young and Kay Barcus, Wealth Managers of Oppenheimer, were joined by family, friends, and community members for the celebration of their newly opened office located at 322 W. Main St., Suite 106.
The Kenedy Chamber hosted March’s Second Friday Community Breakfast last Friday. It was great to hear from the community members that attended speak about different happenings around Karnes County. The location for April’s Second Friday Community Breakfast is not set in stone yet. So stay tuned for more information.
This Saturday, March 16, the Kenedy Chamber is hosting its first annual Grapewine Classic from 1-7 p.m. at the Joe Gully Park gazebo area. There will be four wineries attending the event. $20 pre-sale tickets will be on sale until 5 p.m. Friday but will also be available for purchase at the event for $25. Only individuals that are 21 and up are able to attend this event. Like the Kenedy Grapewine Classic on Facebook to receive the most up to date information about the event. Come enjoy and taste some of the area’s best wines with us.
Everything is going great with the 35th Annual Kenedy Chamber of Commerce Bluebonnet Days Pageant. The Kenedy Chamber would like to extend a big thank you to Mr. Joe Baker, Countywide Editor, for taking time away from his busy schedule to photograph our contestants. We have a great group of students participating in this year’s pageant! The pageant is scheduled to take place at the Kenedy High School Auditorium on April 19 at 6 p.m. mark your calendars.
