July 1 marked the beginning of a new year and a new board of directors for the Kenedy Chamber of Commerce. The 2012-2013 Board of Directors are: Arnold Alaniz – President (Duval Leasing), Carrie Lopez – Vice President (Veolia Water), Marie Cruz – Sec/Treasurer (Select Energy Service), Christina Benavedis – Director (Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital), Walter Chance – Director (Walter Alan Chance Homes, Inc.), Rosie Garza – Director (ConocoPhillips), Elisha Rahmes – Director of KCW Drug Free Communities, (Robert Riojos – Director (USAA Bank), Leslie Wynn – Director (Alamo Lumber).

All of our board members are interested in what the Kenedy Chamber of Commerce can do for your business and how we can bring more commerce into the area! Feel free to speak with any of them or drop by the temporary chamber office at 216 Main Street, (aka “The Little Red School House”) to visit and share your interests and ideas.

Wednesday, July 25, The chamber welcomed and held a ribbon cutting for Pioneer Well Services on Hwy 239. Pioneer has several divisions working on the Eagle Ford Shale and we are proud to have them with us in Kenedy!
