The Texas Reading Club 2011, DIG UP A GOOD BOOK!, provides opportunities for children of all ages to enjoy reading. The program will begin on Mon., June 6th – Fri., July 1st. The program is FREE, it includes weekly reading activities and events. It is also co-sponsored by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission

Registration for the program will begin on Tues., May 31st. Receive a free Dinosaur bookmark when you register (one per child).

Last year, we had over 4,000 children books checked out. We are with great anticipation of returning, and new membership checkouts. Hopeful to double that amount or more – to break checkouts record this year! Amazing programs are scheduled throughout the month of June. Door prizes, crafts, games, magic shows, live animals, and ventriloquist are all part of the program. So kids don’t hesitate or miss out, gear up for an adventurous summer! Dig into the past, present, and future in a good book! Allow your imagination drift away as pirates search for buried treasures, paleontologists dig up new fossils, or recreational pleasure read an adventure of your most favorite fictional character….whatever it may be, Dig Up A Good Book!!!

For more information stop by the Kenedy Public Library, 303 W. Main St., or call @ 830-583-3313. SRC calendar schedule are also available at the library!
