Tuesday February 26th the Lions JV and Varsity baseball teams traveled to Dilley for a non-district game.

The JV would play a close game thru 4 innings before giving up 4 runs in the bottom of the fourth to lose 7-3.

Getting hits for the Lions were Nathan De Los Santos, Javier Hernandez and Devyn Schultz.

Bryant Tiemann pitched three scoreless innings in the loss.

In the night cap the varsity Lions would spot the Wolves 2 runs in the first inning on some throwing errors and then settled down and take the lead in the 4th as Rolie Zepeda cleared the bases with a triple.

The Wolves would score one run in the 5th to tie it and then the Lions would roar back and take the lead as Jeremy Rodriguez would knock in Eddie Villarreal.

Zepeda would earn the win pitching 6 innings and striking out 4. Isaac Cruz would pick up the save pitching the 7th inning striking out the first two hitters before giving up a base hit and then finished off the night with a strike out of the last batter.

Zepeda was 1 for 4, Isaac Cruz went 1 for 2, Kris Bryan went 2 for 4 as did Eddie Villarreal, Rodriguez went 2 for 3, and Vicente Barrera went 1 for 3.
