After one round of play the Lady Bulldogs are out to set the record straight. As of Tuesday night they have put their plan in action. Play solid defense, put pressure on the ball, and reduce turnovers was the goal and meet it they did. The Ladies hosted Natalia on Tuesday night to start the second round of district play. The night was good for the Bulldog defense in disrupting the Mustang offense and break. With pressure from Barker and Klare Escamilla, Franke was able to pick off a couple of passes quick in the front court. Turning these in to two for the Bulldogs was helped by the hustle of Pullin and Benham to get to the paint to score. As the night progressed, Cruz, Johnson, and Guteirrez stepped into to continue the pressure and the game stayed in the Dogs control. McAfee and Lerma came into to work the back of the defense for the team cleaning up the boards and pushing the ball to the basket on offense. With constant pressure by the defense with the help of Kandace Escamilla, Crawford, and Tadlock the momentum stayed through the evening with the Lady Bulldogs.

Scoring on the night came from Pullin with 18 followed by Franke with 16 and Benham adding 11. Barker, Lerma, Gutierrez, McAfee, and Tadlock combined for another 15 points for the Lady Bulldogs. Defensive boards were lead by Pullin, Benham, and Barker with offensive boards getting help for McAfee and Cruz. After kicking the second half of play off on the right foot, the team will meet Jourdanton on Friday night and host Dilley on Tuesday.
