“It was a game we just did not have control of from the beginning. The Lady Trojans refused to back down, but we could just not get things to go our way,” said Lady Trojan head coach Katina Walker.
The loss leaves the Beeville varsity with an overall record of 11-16 and the girls stand 1-6 in district play with just three games left on the schedule as of Monday morning.
Theresa Amador scored 13 points in the loss on Friday to lead the Beeville scorers. The Lady Trojans did work hard on the boards with Randi Maupin and Paige McKinney hauling in 12 rebounds apiece. Victoria Elizalde helped with nine caroms and Amador added seven.
The Lady Trojans played state-ranked Floresville on Tuesday night at home and will finish their season with Friday’s road game with Port Lavaca Calhoun and a home finale on Tuesday night against Gregory-Portland.
