KARNES COUNTY – Karnes County Youth Show organizers are reporting another very successful show and expressing thanks to everyone in the community that participated and contributed to its success.

Hundreds of local young people entered livestock, handicraft and baking projects in the annual event at the Karnes County Youth Show grounds on U.S. Highway 181 near Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital.

The auction began at 3 p.m. Saturday and wrapped up about midnight after 197 auction items had crossed the platform.

For the second straight year, Falls City FFA member Tucker Huff’s medium wood lamb received grand champion honors and the highest bid at the show - $17,000. Huff’s lamb in last year’s show received the highest bid of $10,000.

The Karnes Countywide will publish a special section with results and lots of photos from the show that is an annual tradition that benefits the youth of Karnes County.
