Mr. Silvas was born Dec. 12, 1978, in Beeville to Emilia (Montemayor) and Juan S. Silvas Sr. He was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School and had worked for TDCJ and Walmart. He was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Silvas Sr.; a sister, Oralia Camacho; and a nephew, Gilbert Flores.
Survivors include his mother, Emilia Silvas of Beeville; four brothers, Jimmy Silvas, Juan Silvas Jr. and Abel (Brenda) Garcia, all of Beeville, and Ciri (Nere) Villarreal Jr. of Mathis; four sisters, Ellie (Adan) Martinez and Natalia (Nick) Camacho, both of Beeville, Dalia Sanchez of Aransas Pass and Mandy (John) of Houston; uncles, Santiago Silvas and Paulo (Sylvia) Silvas; aunts, Lupe Silvas, Margarita Silvas and Lydia Muñoz; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 24, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 with Deacon Paul Matula officiating.
Pallbearers were Juan Silvas Jr., Jimmy Silvas, David Camacho, Domingo Camacho Jr., Ciri Villarreal Jr., Mikey Sanchez, Nick Camacho Jr. and Moses Silvas.
