At about 9:01 p.m., the victim arrived to her house and was walking to her front door when she was knocked down from behind by a male, who took her purse, ran back to the street and entered an older-model, faded-red, single-cab pickup truck, according to Captain Tom Copeland of the Goliad County Sheriff's Office.
"The suspect jumped in the passenger side of the vehicle," Copeland said. "The vehicle was occupied by a passenger and a driver. They left the scene."
Copeland said the victim sustained minor injuries.
The only identification the victim of the attackers was that they were two young males.
Copeland said anyone with information on the incident should call the Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers at 1-877-362-0206 or the Goliad County Sheriff's Office at 361-645-3451.
"The Sheriff's Office recommends people recognize their surroundings when they get in and out of their cars," Copeland said. "This is an isolated incident. We don't want people panicking. We are actively pursuing leads in the case."
