Margaret Ann (Shinn) Barr Boils, 85, of Taft, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.

Mrs. Boils was born Aug. 15, 1927, in Hurley, N.M., to Bena (Ball) and Ditzlar Shinn. She was a retired supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Garland Barr and Leon Boils; brothers, Gene and Elmer Shinn; and sister, Dorothy McKnight.

Survivors include two sons, Garland G. (Irene) Barr of El Campo and Gary (Gail) Barr of Spring; a daughter, Carol (Thomas) Gilmore of Mesa, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Jeffrey Gilmore, Christie Gilmore, Megan Knudsen, Eugene Barr and Jason Barr.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, Jan. 1, at 2 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Smith officiating.
