H-E-B representatives are inviting everyone to come out and help them celebrate the grand opening of their new H-E-B store in Kenedy Friday morning.

The store opens at 6 a.m., Friday, July 25, and a grand opening celebration is planned for later that morning at 9 a.m. H-E-B will present contributions to eight non-profit organizations within the community at the 9 a.m. ceremony.

The public will get the chance to meet the store leaders and see the 10,000 new items available for purchase at the store.

A new H-E-B convenience store and gas station opened last week at the site near the intersection of U.S. Highway 181 and State Highway 72 in Kenedy.

The new 40,000 square-foot store is more than three times the size of the store currently in operation in Kenedy, but smaller than the H-E-B Stores in Floresville and Beeville.

The new store will feature a deli, a drive-through pharmacy and many other features that customers are used to seeing at larger H-E-B stores.

See the July 30 issue of The Karnes Countywide for more details on the opening of the new store.
