The Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held its’ monthly business meeting on Thursday, Dec. 6, with 11 members present at 9:30 am in the hospital Board Room. President Emma Villanueva called the meeting to order. Monthly reports were presented by officers as well as standing and appointed committee members.

Items of note include the nominations of officers for the ensuing year presented by the nominating committee. They are: President, Emma Villanueva; Vice President, Margie Pierce; Secretary, Lynn Buehring; Treasurer, Patsy Marchant; Parliamentarian, Sandy Satterfield; Historian, Mary Hickok. All nominees were approved by unanimous vote.

Ways and Means Chairman Patsy Marchant gave an update on the very successful Tamale Sale held in November. There are approximately 150 dozen (regular only) still available at $8.00/doz. If you would like to purchase tamales, you may call or come by the Gift Shop, 583-4507 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Arrangements will be made to deliver them, Wed/Thurs.

Congratulations to Diana Moczygamba - winner of the Jacobean Birds lap quilt. The drawing for this quilt was held during the Tamale Sale event.

Thank you to the community for your strong support in these fund raising efforts. Thanks to you, the auxiliary has been able to donate to the hospital $31,181 in purchased equipment thus far this year.

And a hearty welcome to our two newest members, Pat Kainer and Ella Jean Najvar. We’re glad to have you with us.

The Gift Shop Christmas Sale continues. Everything (except food items, purses and quilts) is reduced 25%. There are jewelry, toys, decorative and Christmas items and so much more available. It’s a great opportunity to get that early holiday shopping done.

Our next business meeting will be Thursday, Jan. 10. The meeting will be held at Barth’s Restaurant beginning at 11 am. This luncheon meeting will include Installation of Officers for the year 2013.
