I had to wade through JB's blabbering to finally see something I agreed with him on, and that would be the violence at the 49'er/Raiders game on Saturday. I thought it was a great game, didn't really see any news on the brawling except for one fight caught on video. Then today a client stopped by and told me he had gone to the game. Said there were fights everywhere.

It all started out fine with the tail-gaiting parties with all fans friendly and in a good mood. It stayed pretty mellow through most of the game, then as the alcohol consumption got seriously delirious, the "S" hit the fan. I partially blame greedy concessionaires and stadium management for serving 5-gallon buckets of beer late in the game to people who were obviously S-faced. Fortunately, most of these guys looked like they couldn't throw a decent punch if they had to. The brawling was more embarrassing than the fighting. Probably why they needed to start shooting out in the parking lot. Total losers.

It's an embarrassment to the country that we can't even watch a football game without resorting to this kind of stupidity. My apologies to everyone in the country for the behavior of a few idiots who need to be locked up during football season and forced to watch Martha Stewart 24 hrs. a day.
