Mr. Moreno

Arturo Lee Moreno, 16, of Beeville died on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007.

He was born on Feb. 19, 1991, in Beeville to Reynaldo B. and Lucia Campos Moreno. He was a student.

Survivors from Beeville include his parents, Rey and Lucy Moreno; five brothers, Rudy Ramirez, Epimenio Jesus Moreno, Reynaldo Moreno Jr., Alex Rene Moreno, and Benny Ray Moreno; one sister, Martina Celia Moreno; maternal grandmother, Juanita Campos; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Angelus Funeral Home, with a rosary recited there at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was to be celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Saturday) at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. Interment was to follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery.

Pallbearers were to be Rudy Ramirez, E.J. Moreno, J.R. Moreno, Alex Moreno, Benny Moreno and Johnny Benavides.

Mrs. Ward

Anna Mary Ward, 88, of San Antonio died on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007.

She was born May 14, 1919, in Beeville to James M. and Annie M. Juenger Dorsey. She married Olin D. Ward in Beeville on July 27, 1963. She was a rancher and was a retired Bee County deputy tax assessor-collector. She was a Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one brother, George Dorsey and wife Rose Lee of Alamo; one niece, Valerie Schweers; and two nephews, Jimmy Dorsey and Richmond Carpenter II.

Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary recited there at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held there at 10 a.m. Friday. Special music was “Wind Beneath My Wings.” Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bob Wingenter, Albert Leo McGuill, Herbert Ball, Roel Rodriguez, Jimmy Dorsey and Gary Schweers. Honorary pallbearer was Gene Herrmann.
