Mr. Rollings

Henry Elmore Rollings Jr., 65, of Tuleta died on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008.

He was born in North Carolina on Aug. 18, 1943, to Lyndel Fuvderburk and Henry Rollings Sr. He was an industrial painter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Nelson Rollings of Tuleta; two stepdaughters, Kay Beauchamp of Colorado and Stacey Woods of El Paso; two stepsons, Eddie Scott of Utah and Michael King of Tuleta; three sisters, Mary Meechum and Sara (Joseph) Schwart, both of North Carolina, and Micki (Mike) Davis of Pettus; four brothers, Lee Rollings and Dan (Ginny) Rollings, both of North Carolina, James (Pam) Rollings of Louisiana and Charles (Connie) Rollings of Pettus; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Tom

Steven Lynn Tom passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at the age of 61 years. He was born February 26, 1946 in Uvalde, Texas to John Files and Roma (Williams) Tom.

Mr. Tom was was preceded in death by his parents, John and Roma Tom. He is survived by his wife Collene (Raney) Tom of New Braunfels, Texas; daughter, Cathy (Tom) White and husband Bo of George West, Texas; two grandsons, Dustin and Dylan White. He is also surviveed by his brother, Greg Tom and wife Bonnie of Boerne, Texas; two nieces, Joanna and Cindy; and two nephews, Christopher and Jeff Tom; and many life long friends.

Mr. Tom was a retired superintendent and educator for over forty years. He was a graduate of Nueces Canyon High School and received his doctorate Degree in Education from Texas A&M University. He was a life long member of the Methodist Church and was baptized at a young age in the Leakey United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching his grandsons play football.

Services were held at the United Methodist Church in Leakey, Texas at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 17, 2008. Interment followed in the Leakey Floral Cemetery. Bro. John Britsch officiated. Pallbearers were Clark Klein, John Healy, Charlie Britsch, Bobby Britsch, Skooter Hanlickeck and Lawrence Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers were Dustin White, Dylan White, Jeff Tom, Chris Tom, Cindy Tom and Joanna Zaremba.

Mrs. Wright

Alma Lea was born June 27, 1914, in Ganada, Texas. She passed from this life January 15th, 2008, following a long illness in Rockdale, Texas, at the age of 93 years. Mrs. Wright resided in Milam County.

She married Albert Wright on July 1, 1939, in Beeville, Texas and was a longtime resident of Bee County where she was a homemaker and especially enjoyed quilting with her friends. Mrs. Wright was active in various youth and civic organizations as in Extension Homemakers and served in various capacities including Bee County Council President.

Alma was a member of the Church of Christ.

A memorial service was held in the Church of Christ in Hearne, TX, Friday, January 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, Hearne, TX 979-279-3663.
