BEEVILLE – The Beeville community has once again contributing many items for the last several months to be sent to our servicemen and women serving in our military overseas.

VFW Post and Auxiliary No. 9170, American Legion Auxiliary 274, St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, St. Mary’s Academy, many individuals and residents have contributed to this project. A total of 37 boxes were sent.

Packages are sent twice a year to servicemen and women who are either from Bee County or whose families are. The next shipment will be sent at the beginning of December just in time for Christmas. Remember our troops overseas with your kind and generous donations, members say.

Collections for items to be sent for the Christmas boxes are now being accepted. Items or donations may be dropped off at the VFW Post Home or at 300 W. Hutchinson St. For more information, call 361-358-1550.
