Pearline L. Hines, 86, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011 at a nursing home in Beeville, following and extended illness.

She was born to Frank and Ola Dee (Davis) Valentine on Jan. 2, 1925 in Simmons. She was a housewife and loved raising her children and being with her family. She married Thomas J. Hines Jan. 15, 1944 and lived in George West.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Hines of George West; two sons, John T. (Brenda) Hines and Gerald Hines both of George West; two daughters, Joyce (Rodney) Steen of Kingsville and Phyllis Jo (Sidney) Stewart of George West; ones sister, Maggie Nolan of Three Rivers; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 28, from 1-8 p.m., at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m., at the Cowboy Church. Burial followed at the George West Cemetery, in George West.

Pallbearers were Bo Valentine, Billy Wayne Bruce, Thomas Steen, Jr., Carlton Steen, C.J.Steen, Jr., and Jock Hines. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Redding Jr., Bill Hinnant, Brendan Stroleny, Ryan Redding and Jeremiah Fox.

Under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, in Three Rivers.
