The Pettus Lady Eagles made good progress this year on the diamond and the District 31-A coaches honored the team and coach Noel Lopez with several spots on the postseason District 31-A All-District teams.

Outfielder Chloe Garza was named to the district’s first team. Garza excelled on defense as well as at the plate and on the base paths. Garza used her speed to run down almost everything hit her way in center field for the Lady Eagles. She batted an impressive .523 and wound up stealing 46 bases on the year.

Catcher Marissa Carrizales was selected to the second team all-district squad for her work behind the plate for the Lady Eagles. Battery-mate Amanda Escandon was also a second team choice of the district’s coaches. Second baseman Hailee Schauer joined her teammates on the district’s second team, combining defense and a good bat for coach Lopez.

Earning honorable mention status for the Lady Eagles were infielders Tristian Moore and Ryan Grayson along with outfielder Hannah Huskey.
