The 73rd year of the Progressive Study Club met at the home of Mary Alice May on Sept. 5. Thirty one members were in attendance along with 6 guests. President Gretchen Dupnik called the meeting to order and introduced incoming officers: Vice President, Cheryl Bush; Social Committee Chairman, Gloria Wernli; Ways and Means Committee Chairman, Kathy Oehlke; Corresponding Secretary Kathy Chapman; Treasurer Debbie Dunn; Parliamentarian LaJuan Ihrig; and Reporter, LaJuan Ihrig.

Pat Hyde assembled and distributed the yearbooks. The Social Committee consisting of Gloria Wernli, Brenda Ihrig, Andrea Jalufka, Ginger Johnson, Cathy Jurgajtis, Christene Mixon, Elaine Porter, Minnie Robinson, Bernice Stimson and Marie Weakener served as hostesses. Mary Alice May provided the refreshments, which were delicious.

During the meeting a Recording Secretary was nominated and voted on. Julie Schievelbein is the new Recording Secretary.

Cheryl Bush went over the programs for the coming year and everyone thought they sounded very exciting. All guests were introduced. They included Sue Odom, Rita Heath, Sharon Rinehart, Brenda Taylor, Betty Ponish and the beautiful little granddaughter of Saundra Schultz.
