RCRSP will host attorney Delbert Cox in January

The Refugio County Retired School Personnel will host local attorney Delbert Cox on Jan. 14 to discus legal papers for retirees.

The club held its final meeting of the year on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Refugio City Hall Club room and reviewed all its current projects.

Anita Barber and Betty Kucera entertained 20 members and four guests by playing selections of lively Christmas carols.

President Martha Wallace presided over a brief business meeting. Secretary Betty Kucera reported that she, Minnie Lou Sutton and Dwight Mutschler distributed books to all area third grade students on Thursday, Dec. 10.

Gladys Knott accepted the volunteer hours and Walks-A-Million miles numbers from club members and will report the totals of the projects at a later meeting.

Treasurer Karen Linebarger asked that members please donate $10 towards the “No Bake Sale” project that the club is currently sponsoring.

The members will meet on the second Thursday of January at the Refugio City Hall. Local attorney Delbert Cox will attend the meet to discuss essential legal papers for retirees.
