The Beeville offensive woes continued and the Trojan offense was almost nonexistent in the second and third periods.
The Texans jumped to an 18-10 lead at the end of one quarter but that stretched to 29-13 at the half as the Beeville boys managed only three points over the second eight minutes.
The third quarter was all Texans as Ray raced off for 22 points while holding the Trojans to a mere five. The cold-shooting bug has plagued the Beeville boys most of the season and took its toll on Friday night.
It was all but over at 51-18 heading into the final stanza. The Trojans hit for 10 points in the fourth while the Texans added another 18.
Chet Sparks had a team-high 11 points. John Camacho followed with nine. Kevin Dang added six and Dakota Del Bosque sank four. Conner Shears completed the Beeville scoring with one free throw.
The Trojans closed their season on Tuesday night, hosting the Gregory-Portland Wildcats. The freshman game will get underway at 5 p.m. with the JV and varsity games to follow.
