REFUGIO – The Refugio Country Opry Show is set for Thursday, April 3, at the Refugio County Fairgrounds Expo Center.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7. Admission is $5.

Featuring The Refugio Country Opry Band, “Best of the Best.”

“The Opry apologizes for last month’s move to the Eagle Dome and the poor quality of the sound there,” said Neal Haertig, organizer.

“Gyms are not built for good acoustics, but we needed to try it to save money for our scholarship fund. We are returning to the Expo Center this month.”

Priscilla Speed is from Staples, up around Seguin. She has been on the Opry several times in the past.

Tobe Ricks is from Kenedy and has been on the Opry in the past.

Halei Williams is from Refugio and is a past performer on the Opry.

“The Fierova Family provides an excellent food court, and, like the Opry, all their net proceeds go toward a scholarship fund for graduating seniors,” said Haertig. “Come early and eat with us.”

“We need the support of our local people along with our regular supporters.

Come help us provide much needed scholarships for your children and grandchildren here in Refugio County.”
