Coastal Bend College will host its fourth Summer Discovery Academy from June 2 to July 7. Returning students who did not graduate from high school prior to Jan. 1 are invited to register on Thursday, May 5, at 6 p.m. in the George Elam Building, Room E-116, at Coastal Bend College in Beeville.

Returning participants who attend this event get priority placement into the program.

Students unable to attend must declare their intent to participate in the summer program by May 4 by contacting Tracy Younts at 362-6010, extension 3.

SDA is a program created in cooperation with Beeville Independent School District, CBC and St. Mary’s Academy Charter School. SDA has served hundreds of Beeville students who have earned college credits at no charge. The program offers high school students opportunities to earn up to 11 hours of college credit during the first summer session.

Open registration for new students, with no priority placement, is May 18.
