Sheriff Robert Bolcik has called a meeting with the citizens of Bayside today (Thursday, April 14), at 7 p.m. at the community center to propose the establishment of a neighborhood watch program in the town.

“This gives citizens the opportunity to police their own communities,” Bolcik said. “Neighborhood watch programs also provide leads to solve crimes. Investigations usually begin with a lead from a citizen.”

Everyone is welcome, Bolcik said.

“Please come to the meeting and share your ideas,” the sheriff said.

The meeting is expected to last between two and two and one-half hours.
