Editor:

A lot of Refugio people read my letters to the editor and comment to me personally. For example, one business owner said to me,

“As long as Lenny owned the L&L BBQ the monthly chamber meeting was catered by L&L BBQ.

McDonalds, Whataburger, Henry’s and any other local restaurants never got in on it and the price went up.

Now in the column “Chamber Notes” (in the Thursday, March 8 edition), the article ends with this message, from the chamber president:

“Remember Refugio, shop locally, the businesses need your support, your neighbors, your friends and your families that have invested in Refugio, so please help them, help you. Shop Refugio.”

Then, why did the Chamber of Commerce go to Victoria to cater the Chamber Banquet? Makes a lot of cents. (sic)

I’m more than sure someone here could have done it. Manny did it last year for cheap.

All officials in Refugio speak with forked tongues. Name me one and I can tell you when they did it.

Don’t people here engage their brain when their mouth goes in gear or what? Do you think nobody is watching?

My, my, Lenny, I think you stepped in it.

Good luck as a city councilman, you’ll fit right in, my friend.
