GEORGE WEST – The 24th annual George West Storyfest was a huge success, according to its executive director Mary Margaret Campbell on Monday.

Festival goers enjoyed sunshine with temperatures up in the high 80s.

Adults and children from the area, and others as far away as Alaska, filled the George West square to take in storytellers, vendors, demonstrations, artisans, musicians, dancers, scrumptious food and much much more.

A Classic Car Show featured beautiful cars that only made people dream of having them.

Here are the Little Red Wagon Parade and Decorating Contest winners:

Adult category: First place: Brush Country Cattlewomen; second placed: Betty McQueen; and third place, Miss Western Week Court.

Youth category: First place: Boys & Girls Club of Live Oak County; second place: George West Longhorn Booster Club; third place, Miss Western Week Teen.

Commercial category: First place: Granny’s Gourmet Goodies; second place: Saenz Construction; and third place: Conoco Phillips.
