Freshman Carle Straube and Sophomore Symantha Flores will be making Bulldog history by becoming the first members of the Lady Bulldog powerlifting team to advance to the state championships in the teams four year existance.

On Saturday, March 2, Lady Bulldog Team members competed in the Girls Regional Powerlifting Meet hosted in Kingsville.

Results from the Regional Meet as follows;

Symantha Flores is the Regional runner up with a 2nd place finish in the 97.5 pound wieght class with; 190 squat, 85 bench, and a 235 deadlift for a 510 total.

Carle Straube with a 6th place finish in the 132 pound weight class with; 265 squat, 120 bench, and a 310 deadlift for a 695 total.

Cheyenne Pullin with a 7th place finish in the 198 pound weight class with a 605 total.

Amber Mendoza with a 7th place finish in the 220 plus pound weight class with a 645 total.

Straube and Flores advance to the championship level by hitting the state qualifying totals in their perspective weight classes.

The Texas High School Womens Powerlifting State Championships will be held on March 15 and 16 in Corpus Christi.
