The contents of this letter in no way can fully express the gratitude that my family and I share toward the members of the Bee County Sheriff’s Department and the deputies who patrol our county and strive to keep the citizens safe.

On Friday, May 4, I was witness to an incident that occurred on CR 799 in Bee County. It was a vehicle on fire. I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to the members of the Bee County Sheriff’s Department who responded along with Angel Care Ambulance Service and the Beeville Volunteer Fire Department.

The situation could have been much worse had it not been for the quick intervention of the Bee County Sheriff’s Department. Deputy Daniels arrived on the scene and assumed command of the situation with professionalism and skill. His response to the situation demonstrated the professionalism that the Bee County Sheriff’s Department prides itself with. Thanks to Sheriff Carlos Carrizales for having such high expectations of members of this agency and for the training that the deputies receive that respond to and represent the county in which we reside.

I am confident that if I am ever in need of law enforcement that members of the Bee County Sheriff’s Department will be there to assist.

David Gutierrez and family
