Thanks, animal control officers

“Kudos” to our local Animal Control Center. On Monday morning, Aug. 8, as our garden was being watered, two cute skunks strolled by, acting as if it was their turn for a drink. A frantic call was made to the animal control center and, within five minutes, Mr. Kielman and Lupe were here with a cage and, if needed, a gun in hand. Five minutes later, these two men departed with two dead skunks in a bag. So many times these guardians of our safety are not thanked publicly for their jobs well done.

With deep appreciation and gratitude for being so responsive and efficient, I do want to say “thank you.”

Most sincerely,

Cece Hollingsworth

Killing two innocent, thirsty skunks seems a little excessive and unnecessary. You probably could have just squirted them with water and they would have left. Guardians of our safety? You can't be serious.
