Treviño finished in the top ten in all of his meets this year, winning a few and captured the District 30-4A meet championship at Veterans Memorial Park, his home course, with a time of 17:07.
Tanner had a personal best this year of 16:55 for his 5K event at the Port Aransas Invitational.
Treviño is joined on the South Texas squad of runners by Port Aransas runner Randy Borden, Jackson Bright from IWA, Jacob Martinez from Moody and Logan Pittman from Carroll. The Runner of the Year award went to Daniel Guerrero from Moody.
This is the second straight year that Treviño has been named to the prestigious cross country team by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.
