Matthew Rex Lange, 23, also of Victoria, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the crash which ejected both men from a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, authorities reported.
The accident occurred in the early morning hours.
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor; however, officers are investigating a report that a deer ran across the road, causing the driver to take evasive action and drive off the roadway, ejecting both passengers, the Texas Department of Safety reported.
An autopsy has been ordered.
Lange and another passenger survived the accident. Lange is facing felony charges with a punishment between two and 20 years in jail and a $10,000 fine.

That said, may the "book" be thrown at the person charged with involuntary manslaughter. May he be charged to the fullest extent of the law. May he also learn from this crime and ask for forgivness from the victims families, if he is indeed guilty of the crime.
