Uranium Energy Corporation (UEC) wants to become the No. 1 producer of yellow cake uranium in the United States, and it has brought two local families back home to help it do so.

Renewed commitments to nuclear power in the United States and across the globe foretell in increase in demand for yellow cake, and recent successes in uranium exploration in South Texas make UEC’s Hobson Facility a major player for the future of this growing industry.

“We’re at a situation right now where communities around the world are facing some tough energy choices,” UEC president/CEO Amir Adnani said. “Some of the escalating concerns around climate change and just the basic need for electricity has countries renewing their interest in what is emerging for nuclear energy as it becomes the major reliable, low carbon, low cost and large-scale energy for the 21st Century.
