Victor A. Herrera, age 66, of Karnes City, passed away May 26, 2011 in Kenedy. He was born to the late Victoriano Herrera Sr. and Guadalupe Arriano Herrera on January 13, 1945 in Robstown. He married Rosita Esparza on August 1, 1964 in Karnes City. Mr. Herrera was an Oil Field Driller and a Mechanic. He was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City and had resided most of his life in Karnes City. Mr. Herrera is survived by his wife; Rosita E. Herrera of Karnes City, his daughters; Michelle (Linnell) Lane of San Antonio and Mary Jane (Daniel Oballe) of Kenedy, his son; Mark Anthony Herrera of Karnes City, five grandsons and two granddaughters. He is also survived by his sister-in-law; Annie Esparza, his nephew; Roland Esparza, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son; Victor E. Herrera III. Visitation will begin at 3 PM, Monday, May 30, 2011 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM, Monday, May 30, 2011 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City. Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City. Father Stanislaw Marciniak will officiate.
