Thanks to several groups and individuals for recent donations.
In January, it seemed that we would never run low on food. With an average of 20 new families per month added to our already more than 1,500 families, it happened this month.
Thanks to Weight Watchers, to Janie Hernandez of BCAA for shopping with the last of our Emergency Food and Shelter funds, to First United Methodist, First Presbyterian, Faith Lutheran and St. Philip’s churches for monthly donations.
We are fortunate to be able to purchase in bulk from the Food Bank of Corpus Christi with donated funds. Thanks also to Erwin Massengale for a truck load of food, to Angel Food, to H-E-B for bread and pastries and several other individuals.
Other most welcome donations came from Skidmore-Tynan Student Council ($500), Coastal Bend College Spanish Club, Lucille Williams, Women of the First Presbyterian Church and the Christus Spohn Beeville Volunteers (Christmas gifts).
