A notice to seniors and disabled persons, if you want to keep your homestead exemption, it will be on the ballot this May 2012.
This is a benefit we cannot leave to chance. Our county gives a $65,000 exemption off your home in Refugio County.
You voted in a $62,500 city homestead exemption off your city taxes. Vote to keep your homestead exemption in this election.
When the lawmakers voted for a one third reduction in school property tax completed this year, they forgot about the homestead exemption.
Please vote to keep our homestead exemptions in place.
