Where have all the flowers gone? This is about the Beeville Memorial Park.
My little brother passed away in February of 1961, my grandparents in 2011. When I was old enough, I took flowers to my brother’s grave and talked to him. Every season, I would put new flowers on his grave. I do the same thing to my grandparent’s and my dad’s. I always say a prayer at each grave. I have been missing flowers when I go to visit them.
The other day, I was at the cemetery, and some men were digging a new grave. I went over and asked where all the flowers from my brother’s, grandparent’s and dad’s graves had gone. They were told that anything in the ground or on the ground was to be disposed of. I told them that they were disrespecting the graves. Those flowers were put there in memory of them. They told me that if the flowers or anything else was put on the ground, it would be disposed of.
I called the owner of the cemetery, and he told me the same thing. This is not right. I feel very hurt.
