A water distribution point has been set up at Moreno Junior High. City and county workers will distribute water to persons needing free water. Two port-a-potties are available for public use at Moreno Junior High.
City water crews continue to work on the water low pressure situation. City leaders are asking all water customers to be patient while they resolve the water issues. Please help by limiting use of water as much as possible. All water must be boiled before use until further notice. Citizens will be updated with additional water distribution points as they become available.

The City Water Department continues to work on the low water pressure situation. Residents should boil all city water prior to using. Water temperature for cleaning and rinsing should be at 155 degrees or higher. The Emergency Operations Center has been partially activated and can be contacted at 361-621-1567.

H-E-B will have water at their store beginning at 2 p.m. today. Everyone is asked to be courteous as lines may be long.
Plans are underway to get water to nursing homes.
Residents should try to conserve water. This will make the problem resolve itself quicker.

City and county officials have opened the emergency operations center to handle problems associated with water outage.
Residents were notified Tuesday that broken lines and clogged filters at the pumping station has caused a loss of water pressure throughout the city. A water boil remains in effect until further notice.
CBC, BISD and St. Mary's Academy Charter School have all canceled classes Wednesday.
