A wonderful day was enjoyed by 41 Brush Country Cattle Women at the Brush Country Cowboy Church, hostessed by Alexis Bennett, Peggy Skoruppa, Rosalee Coleman, and Earlyn Tompkins. Lucy Meyring was our guest speaker and her program was titled “Women in Ranching”. She was given a standing ovation when she was finished with her life story of growing up on a ranch in New Mexico, breaking horses, finding a job on a ranch in the high country of Colorado, and marrying the owners son. She showed pictures that dated back 100 years of her ranching family and those of her husbands. We were riveted by every word she spoke.
