Mr. Jackson was born in Union Town, Kentucky, on Sept. 9, 1931, to Cargile and Rose Mary (Tiffer) Jackson. He was a boilermaker working for Chicago Bridges and Service. He and his wife, Clara, moved to Calliham where fishing was his love and job.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-father, Woody Goodrich; and a brother, James “Buck” Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Louise Jackson of Temple; an ex-wife, Doris Ione Jackson; a brother, Julian Ray Jackson; five children, Tayna (Harold) Baustian of Gatesville, Roger Jackson, Shirley Smith, Thomas Jackson and Billy Jo Jackson; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Friday, June 27, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.
The funeral service was conducted there Saturday, June 28, at 10 a.m. Burial was at Calliam Cemetery.
Services were entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
