U.S. Air Force Tests Zero Gravity on Cats

What happens when a cat can't land on its feet? According to the Daily Mail U.K., that is exactly what the U.S Air Force wanted to find out.

Currently, videos of old weightlessness tests performed by the Air Force are going viral on the Web. In the clips, cats and pigeons are taken up in a C-31 jet that is able to create 15-second pockets of weightlessness based on its trajectory. The obviously confused kitties are released to float in the air. Unable to land on their feet, the felines act like many humans do when they first experience life in zero gravity, squirming around until they find a surface. Overall, the tests showed that most of the animal subjects were fairly adaptable, getting used to living the mid-air life after several rounds of tests. Based on this video, we're sure these cats were happy to have all four paws on the ground again and are not signing up for a trip to space camp anytime soon.
