Editor's note: The claims of suits against the law firm of Denton, Navarro, Rocha & Bernal by the City of Live Oak, Bandera County and Medina County are false. The Karnes Countywide erred in quoting Mr. Yarter's claims in this story and retracts those claims. The Karnes Countywide apologizes to Denton, Navarro, Rocha & Bernal and to our readers for the incorrect statements. See the July 17 issue of the Countywide for more details.

1. the DMN&R firm's ethics are above reproach. I was a founding partner, and the reckless claims by Yarter must be stopped, as they are defamatory and without any basis.

2. I represented the City of Laredo in the case which Betty Yarter erroneously cited. It does NOT stand for the proposition she offered.
