The Live Oak Duplicate Bridge Club held the regular weekly meeting at the Dobie/West Performing Arts Theater in George West on Monday, Nov. 7 with 14 players present.

Winners were: Elaine Bennett and Dorthy Rippstein, first place; Mary Johnson and Beula Mae Pearce, second.

Other members present were: Steve and Jackie Johnson, Violet Person, Norma Williams, Marie King, Nancy Brown, Lisa Tindol, Sara Dunn, Walter Long and Mary Kay Lyne.

The duplicate bridge club met again on Monday, Nov. 14 with 12 players present. Winners were Steve Johnson and Jeannine Herschap, first place; Elaine Bennett and Mary Kay Lyne, second. Others present were Jackie Johnson, Steve Kassarjian, Marie King, Diane Staudt, Norma Williams, Sara Dunn, Walter Long and Mary Johnson.

Play begins at 6 p.m. Call (361) 449-9482 for informal lessons or to join the play. Cost of playing is $2. Bridge lessons are being taught from 1:30-4 p.m. on Wednesdays.
