Lois Marie Oxford, age 77, a resident of Kingsville, died Monday, May 14, 2012 in Kingsville. She was born Jan. 29, 1935 in Yorktown to Albert Block and Margaret Brantley Block. Mrs. Oxford was a legal secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon R. Oxford; three brothers, Albert Brantley Block Sr.; Jack Howard Block and John Robert “Bobby” Block; two sisters, Margaret Jean Murphy and Hazel Ruth Mikel-Jones and great-grandson, Michael Oxford.

Mrs. Oxford is survived by two sons, Rusty (Darlene) Oxford and David (Joy) Oxford; one daughter, Carol (Jimmy) Geryk; sister, Irma Lee (Johnny) Pickett; brother, Raymond Block; grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18 at Kingsway Family Church, 1727 Senator Carlos Truan Blvd., Kingsville, with Rev. Edwin Cann officiating.

Memorials may be made to cancer research of one’s choice.

Services were entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville.
